Before You Start

Worker Screening & Training Requirements
To help you get up and running with Full Circle Projects (FCP), we've provided the following useful links and information to guide you through the onboarding process.

To work in the NDIS sector in Queensland, all workers are required to hold a current NDIS Queensland Disability Worker Screening Clearance. This check combines a Blue Card, Yellow Card, and Police Check requirements into one comprehensive clearance and includes ongoing national criminal history monitoring to ensure the safety and wellbeing NDIS of participants.
  • The Disability Worker Screening Card is valid for five (5) years.
  • If you already hold a valid Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption, you can continue to use it until it expires, is suspended or is cancelled.  You are not required to apply for a Disability Worker Screening Check until that time.
Applications and payment for the Disability Worker Screening Check can be submitted directly through the Queensland Government website by clicking here

Mandatory Training
All support workers are required to complete the following mandatory online training before commencing work:
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module – an online module that introduces you to the principles, values, and responsibilities of working in the NDIS sector.
  • Supporting People to Stay Infection Free – a short online course focused on infection prevention and control when working with participants.
Both of these training modules are free and can be completed online by clicking NDIS Worker Orientation Module and Support People to Stay Infection Free

Recommended NDIS Induction Training
To help you feel confident and well prepared when starting your career in the disability sector, Full Circle Projects also strongly recommends that all new team members complete the additional NDIS Commission Induction Modules available through the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission's online learning centre.
These free online modules provide practical knowledge about:
  • participant rights and choice
  • person-centred supports
  • communication and professionalism
  • safeguarding and quality practice
  • preventing abuse, neglect and exploitation
  • delivering safe, respectful and high-quality supports.
The induction modules can be accessed through the NDIS Commission Learning Centre: New worker: NDIS induction modules
