What is Being Done

In 2018, the Queensland Goverment and Homelessness Sector, established the Compact to reduce homelessness in Queensland. This approach was part of the objective to strengthen services and build partnerships in line with the Queensland Housing Strategy 2017-2027.

The work plan, which was created in collaboration with the Department of Housing and Public Works, specialist homelessness services, peak bodies and other government agencies sets out specific actions under three broad work streams;

1. Strengthening the service system
2. Expanding capabilities
3. Delivering person-centres housing responses
